Steve Taylor gained his City and Guilds qualification in 1978, he has subsequently obtained a Diploma in Technical Implantology from MMU and graduated as a Clinical Dental Technician from UCLan in 2013. He has given lectures throughout the UK on a range of subjects such as occlusion, smile design, and Implantology. He was awarded Contributor of the Year in 2010 by the Dental Laboratory Journal. He is a certified PTC trainer. He runs a private laboratory, Taylor Dental Technology Centre, in Leyland Lancashire, which he opened in 1989. He won The National Training Award with his previous laboratory business in Chorley. He was Chairman and was awarded Fellowship of the British Institute of Dental and Surgical Technologist (BIDST). He is a serving member on the board of the BACDT.
