Mr Sami Stagnell is a GDC registered Specialist Oral Surgeon. Graduating from Kings College London Dental Institute in 2009, he has since worked in practices across the South of England and currently runs a specialist referrals practice in Bournemouth, supporting both NHS and private patients and has recently stepped up to working in capacity as a hospital consultant. Sami gained his specialist diploma in 2016 with Royal Colleges of Edinburgh and England. Following specialist training, he was awarded one of the first UK posts as a Fellow in Clinical Leadership and Management with Health Education England, supporting national healthcare projects. In 2015 and 2018, Sami completed a Masters degree with Kings College London and the University of Manchester and is currently completing an MSc in implantology with the University of Madrid. He is an active member of many societies and has represented the profession with the British Dental Association, British Association of Oral Surgery, College of General Dentistry and Royal Society of medicine. In 2018, Sami was selected by the ITI to complete an international scholarship at a leading EU Implant Centre. He has spent a year at the Medical University Graz in Austria, where he further developed his expertise in Oral Surgery and Implant Dentistry as well as being actively involved in research and teaching. Sami has recently formed HeadsUpAcademy, a training centre for helping generalists develop confidence in oral surgery.
