Awaz is a dentist with a special interest in endodontics. She is passionate about research, particularly in the field of regenerative endodontics which is the basis of her dissertation. She is a firm believer that this exciting advancement will and is revolutionising how we do dentistry, and she has publicly presented her findings to other dentists and professionals in various speaking arrangements. She has carried out extensive training and is a member of the royal college of surgeons of Glasgow, in addition to being awarded a distinction in her PG Cert in clinical education due to her enthusiasm in teaching.
