VINTAGE Art Universal relies on a well-known principle
– the use of powders – to achieve this goal. SHOFU thus meets the demands of
many dental technicians for more influence on materials. This system allows
users to individually adjust consistency, colour intensity and material
behaviour.
Material basis and application
The system is based on a low-fusing glass matrix with microfine
pigments. This ensures stable colour effects, even when layers are thin, without
obscuring the light dynamics of the framework. Well-matched fluorescence
supports the natural light effects and reduces greyness. By using different
mixing liquids, the consistency can be varied – from flowable characterisation
to sculptable effects. Technicians can use VINTAGE Art Universal LIQUID for 2D
staining techniques or the special VINTAGE Art Universal YAMAMOTO LIQUID for
spatial 3D structures, creating microstructural details and an illusion of
depth, particularly in monolithic restorations. The major advantage: highly
predictable results. Thanks to the glass-like refractive index of YAMAMOTO
LIQUID, the stains already show their final colour effects before firing.
When it comes to complex gingival areas, the system also
follows a uniform approach. The consistency of the Gum Colors can be
individually adjusted for the reproduction of microstructural details. The 15 Gum
Colors and the new Vis-Modifier allow technicians to recreate soft tissues with
natural colour, shape and depth.
VINTAGE Art Universal expands SHOFU’s portfolio as a
powder-based system for surface characterisation on ceramic restorations, which
can be flexibly integrated into various laboratory processes. The system can be
used on all common ceramics and provides a consistent basis for individual
surface characterisation.
