Sexual misconduct in the workplace

Learning Content

Sexual misconduct in the workplace is certainly under the spotlight and dentistry is no different from any other profession. Many brush this topic under the carpet, but it is very real and needs to be addressed.

This session will shed light on the recent survey undertaken by a dental group and consider the findings in line with the national agenda and encourage everyone to be aware of the latest employer accountability.

  • Evaluate what is already known.
  • Construct a balanced view of the role of the profession in driving cultural change.
  • Synthesize the latest findings of the survey and plan a way forward, whilst contributing to the bigger picture

Aims

To provide an overview of the work undertaken by allied professionals to date and discuss how this has implications for the whole dental profession, which is inclusive of dental technicians and clinical dental technicians, but not in isolation
Speakers
Fiona Ellwood BEM, Executive Director - Society of British Dental Nurses
