This session will allow attendees to learn how to handle medical emergencies in the dental setting:

Focusing on recognition and initial management of cardiac arrest
The use of good communication and teamwork to ensure high quality care for staff and patients

  • Attendees will learn how to handle medical emergencies in the dental setting. Focusing on simple recognition and initial management of cardiac arrest including the use of an Automated Defibrillator.

Aims

The aim of this online medical emergencies’ presentation is to equip Dental Technicians with the knowledge and skills required to respond appropriately to medical emergencies in a dental setting. By focusing on practical, relevant scenarios and the latest guidelines the training will help ensure patient safety and enhance the competence and confidence of Dental Technicians in emergency situations
